versatility to meet specific customer application requirements.
|
ABB Switch Mode Power Supply |
ABB CP-E series power supplies includes various versions with output voltages from 5 V DC up to 48 V DC
at output currents from 0.625 A to 3 A. Their high efficiency of up to 89% and their low power dissipation and heating allow
the operation of these units without forced cooling. Despite the expansions in functionality it was possible to reduce the
number of different types. Of course, all CP-E series power supplies are approved according to all world-wide applicable
standards (cULus, IEC/EN 60950, etc.) and have the CE and the C-TICK sign applied.
|
 ABB Soft Starters |
ABB offers wide ranges of softstarters to cover every customers need for solutions. The complete softstarter range
covers all motor applications from 3 A to 1810 A used in a main voltage between 208 V to 690 V AC.
- PSR - The compact range, 3A to 45 A
- PSS - The flexible range 18 to 300 A. (Inside Delta 515 A)
- PST(B) - The advanced range 30 to 1050 A. (Inside Delta 1810 A)

 ABB Timers |
Electronic time delay relays, timers, solid state timers and timing modules are available for octal plug-in mounting
and connection, DIN rail mounting, encapsulated surface mounting, open PC board construction, and ProgramaCube formats. Time delay relays include a solid
state relay or mechanical relay as well as an electronic timing circuit. This combination provides accurate timing control and isolation between the input
and the load voltage, plus multiple switching contacts: 1 c/o (SPDT) or 2 c/o (SPDT). Timing modules are totally solid state. Both are often used in OEM
equipment, industrial and building applications, providing time-delayed switching for motor starting, load control, regulation and protection. ABB offers
a large selection of time delay relay, timing functions, time delay ranges and time delay relay adjustment options.
|
 ABB Relays |
Interface relays and optocouplers are widely used in various industrial applications. As an interface they link the electronic
controlling, e.g. PLC (programmable logic controller), PC or field bus systems, to the sensor / actuator level. Here, they take on various functions:
Switching of AC or DC loads with different resistive, inductive and capacitive parts, switching voltages from a few mV up to 250 V, switching currents
from a few mA up to 16 A, amplification of weak control signals, electrical isolation of control and load circuits, and signal multiplying.
|
ABB Overload Relays & Motor Starters |
ABB has completed its range of Electronic Overload Relays, with the new addition of the E45DU, E80DU and
the E140DU. ABB now offers one of the largest lines on the market from 0.1 through 1250 Amps. These UL approved overloads come
with field selectable tripping classes 10, 20 and 30. Direct mount to an A/AF Contactor or use a separate base mount kit.
Wider current range settings offer fewer ranges to choose from with improved overload accuracy.
|
 ABB PLCs |
The new AC500 ABB PLC consists of different devices that can be combined and flexibly expanded to suit the
customer's individual requirements. It is also possible, for instance, to operate several field buses simultaneously in any
desired combination with a single control system. Customers can choose between different CPU performance classes, which can even
be easily replaced subsequently to meet increasing requirements. The common engineering tool ABB PLC AC500 Control Builder
provides standardized programming of the entire platform according to IEC 61131-3, as well as further features and
utilities.
|
 ABB Manual Motor Protectors |
Manual Motor Protectors provide a reliable, cost-effective solution for motor protection for the
material handling industry. The ABB Type MS Manual Motor Protectors (MPP) are a wide range of products providing highly
efficient motor protection up to 100 Amps. The short circuit breaking capacity of these devices can reach up to 100 kA
depending on the MMP type used, without the need for any special upstream protection. Additionally, the ABB Type MS MMP
increases the reliability of applications due to the quick reaction time, switching off the motor within 3ms, under
shortcircuit conditions that could cause motor damage.

ABB Analog Signal & Serial Data Converters |
ABB's range of analog signal converters are ideally suited when existing electrical or physical values
have to be converted into proportional standard signals or relay threshold signals. The serial data converters from ABB
allow the establishment of a communication between units with different communication standards. In order to assure the
process continuity, existing systems consistently have to be updated or connected to new devices. If the communication
standard of the existing system and the connected device are different, serial data converters make the establishment of
the communication possible. Besides the conversion of signals, analog signal converters and serial data converters are
suited for the amplification, filtering or separation of analog signals.

 ABB Low Voltage Capacitors |
Options For Correcting Power Factor
There are three primary methods of correcting power factor:
- Individual Capacitor Units - One capacitor unit for each inductive load.
- Banks of Capacitor Units - Large Capacitor System connected to the line at some central point in the distribution
system.
- Combination of Above - Where individual capacitors are installed on the larger inductive loads and banks are installed
on main feeders or switchboards, etc.
|
ABB Compact & Modular Range Pilot Devices |
ABB offers two complete ranges of Pilot Devices, designed for most types of industrial environments. The
products are suitable for traditional applications as well as for heavy duty applications. The Compact Range is a very price
competitive "all-in-one" alternative to traditional modular products while the Modular Range gives higher ratings and
flexibility. The ABB family design with the same appearance from the front side is an advantage when combining the Compact range
with the Modular range. Both 22mm ranges can, by use of adapters, be assembled in 30mm holes. In addition the two 22 mm Pilot
Device ranges ABB also offer Signal Towers & Signal Beacons.
