ABB CP-E series Power Supplies includes various versions with output voltages from 5 V DC up to 48 V DC at output currents from 0.625 A to 3 A. Their high efficiency of up to 89% and their low power dissipation and heating allow the operation of these units without forced cooling. Despite the expansions in functionality it was possible to reduce the number of different types. Of course, all CP-E series power supplies are approved according to all world-wide applicable standards (cULus, IEC/EN 60950, etc.) and have the CE and the C-TICK sign applied.

The CP-D range types > 10 W feature a continuously adjustable output voltage. Thus, they can be optimally adapted to the application, e.g. compensating the voltage drop caused by a long line length. With their width between 18 to 90 mm only, the CP-D range switch mode power supplies are ideally suited for installation in distribution panels. Optimised for world-wide applications: The CP-D power supplies can be supplied with 90-264 V AC or 120-370 V DC.

The CP-C series ABB power supplies provide extended functionality compared to the CP-S series. The power supplies can be further equipped with additional functionality by means of the innovative concept of expansion module slots on the front side. This saves space and enables easy retrofi tting with an additional module since no further wiring is required to connect the module to the power supply. The units are equipped with a wide-range input and thus can be operated with all common mains voltages, even in difficult environments with high supply voltage variations. Like the CP-S series units, the CP-C series power supplies provide internal power reserves enabling the starting of high loads.
