Altech Corporation, the US market leader in UL508 listed Manual Motor Controllers, has expanded its circuit protection product line. Altech's established line of UL508 listed devices is now being complimented by UL 1077 Recognized Supplementary Protectors, UL 489 listed Miniature Molded Case Circuit Breakers and full size UL489 listed Molded Case Circuit Breakers. The result is the broadest line of circuit protection products in the industry. The UL1077 recognized Supplementary Protectors have an industry standard rating of up to 63A/480Y/277V AC. The UL 489 listed Miniature Molded Case Circuit Breakers offer the highest electrical rating in the industry with 63A/240V AC and 32A/480Y/277V AC. The full size UL489 listed Molded Case Circuit Breakers come in ratings from 15 to 225A/480V AC and 250 to 600A/600V AC.

Altech's compact interface modules provide a flexible, cost effective transition from Sub-D, Ribbon Cable and other connectors to terminal blocks. Altech's electronic modules include Diode, Fuse, Varistor, Optocoupler (I/O), Relay, power supplies and custom modules.

If your needs go beyond our comprehensive range of standard interface and electronic modules, Altech can custom design a module to meet even the most sophisticated requirements. Modules are supplied completely assembled with ready to wire screw-cage terminal blocks in an extruded track. The track can be mounted on 35 or 32mm DIN Rail or can be panel mounted. Select individual components and mount your own electronic boards with Altech mounting tracks.

Altech DIN RAIL mountable power supplies have Universal AC input. They are suitable for industrial and automation applications. The PS series power supply line has a varying voltage input range of 85V to 264V on the single phase and 350V to 550V on the three phases. This line has a built-in short circuit, overload, over-voltage and over-temperature protection. They are available from 45W to 960W with standard voltage outputs of 5V, 12V, 15V, 24V on the lower wattage models, and 24V and 48V on the higher wattage units. These high efficiency (up to 91%) power supplies are cooled by free air convection, have an LED indicator for power on and have a 100% full load burn-in test. They are UL/cUL and CE approved and have a 3-year warranty.

Altech's line of industrial plugs and sockets are manufactured by ABL, a company well known in Europe for its quality electrical products. The pin and sleeve devices are manufactured to CEE 17:IEC 309. Their rugged construction in polyamide 6 material provides good anti-tracking properties and high resistance to aggressive industrial use. In accordance with the Standard's requirements, these devices are color coded to provide positive voltage and frequency matching and external key ways ensure correct alignment of contact pins. The position of the ground pin relative to the socket's key are designated as a clock hour position.

Altech introduces the full line Liquid Tight Strain Reliefs (Cord Grips) which are used to seal cable entries, keep contaminants from entering enclosures, provide strain relief and thus reduce stress on components and termination points inside enclosures. Functions include Straight-Through, Increased Strain Relief, Bend Protection, Pull/Bend Protection, Multi-conductor, Flat Cable and EMI/RFI. They can be used with almost any type of cable, cord or conductor - solid, stranded, flat, shielded, high temperature, etc.

Seal out moisture and contaminants that can damage equipment and devices and provide protection against environmental influences. Ensure that cables stay securely in place, reduce stress on termination points and more. Altech "Cord Grips" meet all national and international standards for performance and safety and are offered in combinations of different body materials and sealing inserts to meet almost any application requirement.
