 Series 1000 |
CONTRINEX series 1000 photoelectric proximity switch features a great variety of sizes and functions in
widely used standardized cylindrical housings (smooth and threaded types). It will be available in the following sizes: 4 mm,
M5, 6.5 mm, M8, M12 and M18. Devices 4 mm and M5 are the smallest self-contained photoelectric proximity switches on the market.
They are intended to replace larger models in case of space problems, and optical fibers if their application is too complicated.
They may even be used instead of the same size inductive switches if the operating distances of the latter are insufficient.
The series 1000 now also includes laser devices in sizes M12 and M18, which compared to conventional LED
through-beam sensors, are distinguished by a narrowly collimated red laser beam. The latter allows for the detection of very
small objects across a large distance.

 Series 0507 |
Contrinex Series 0507 miniature rectangular sensors with narrowly focused light beam detect:
- Objects through holes and gaps
- Closely lined-up objects
- Laterally approaching objects whose distance from the sensor can't be kept constant.
Series 0507 sensors are characterized by their remarkably small size of 5 x 7 mm, with a housing length of
40 mm. The spherical sapphire lens is scratch resistant and projects a virtually cylindrical light beam with a diameter <
4 mm, permitting vertical as well as horizontal mounting. Despite their small size, these devices are fully self-contained.
As a result, they are less costly and easier to install than fiber-optic alternatives. And, because of their sensing range,
they can also replace larger switches where mounting space is limited.

 Color |
The new Contrinex color sensors are well suited for color control as well as for use in color sorting
processes. The devices feature 3 teachable color channels with independent 200 mA outputs, which allow for three color tones
to be programmed. In addition, the teach process offers a choice of 5 different tolerance levels. Whereas small tolerances
allow for minimal color differences to be recognized without fail, larger tolerances permit a certain color variation.
Due to the unique optics of the Contrinex color sensor, color detection within the operating range of
30 mm to 40 mm is virtually independent of target distance.

 Fiber Optic Flat Array |
Contrinex has developed a unique multiple beam, diffuse, flat fiber optic array sensor to solve the
problem of capturing, counting and controlling small components produced by modern, high-performance manufacturing machinery.
High exit speeds of parts from production machinery can make product position vary greatly and component count extremely
difficult.
The new Contrinex LFP-1011-020 flat fiber optic array sensor, specifically designed for this type of
application, has a beam spread of 28mm that will detect objects in any position across the broad area of light transmission.
These new sensors can be connected to any Contrinex fiber-optic amplifier creating a very long sensing range of up to 150mm.
When used with a 5KHz amplifier, the smallest component passing at high speed can be detected.

 Series 3030 |
This series combines high performance with miniature size (30 x 30 x 15 mm housing). Available types
include ener-getic diffuse sensors, diffuse sensors with background suppression, reflex sensors, through-beam sensors and
fiber-optic amplifiers for synthetic and glass fibers. Despite their small size, they feature all the usual protection
functions, are robust and can be used for demanding industrial applications.

 Series 3031 |
This series combines good performance with moderate cost. It is intended for general use, particularly where
small size is required (miniature housing 30 x 30 x 15 mm). The program includes energetic diffuse sensors, diffuse sensors
with background suppression, reflex sensors, through-beam sensors and fiber-optic amplifiers for synthetic and glass fibers.
These robust devices are suitable for industrial use, and feature all the usual protection functions.

 Series 3060/3065 |
The new fiber-optic amplifiers for DIN-rail mounting (DIN/EN 50022) feature large sensing ranges,
outstanding detection properties for both long and very short operating distances, high temperature stability and durability,
thanks to stabilized light power (teach-in model only), and high switching frequency. For the teach-in versions, built-in
adjustable pulse delay and stretching are standard. The housing width of only 10 mm allows for optimum stacking of even a
large number of switches.
In addition, the derobust devices in large housings are required. It offers an extensive functional
program contained in a 65 x 83 x 25 mm housing. Available models include energetic diffuse sensors, diffuse sensors with
background suppression, reflex sensors, and through-beam sensors. All models are available in DC or combined AC/DC (20 to 265 VAC,
20 to 320 VDC) execution with relay output. Connection is via connectors or screw terminals. All variations can be delivered with
a timer.

 Series 3130 |
These new Contrinex analog sensors in size 30 x 30 x 15 mm are characterized by their large sensing
range from 10 to 100 mm, excellent temperature stability and outstanding repeat accuracy. The sensing range is
independent of the color or surface structure of the object to be detected. In addition, since intermediate
digitalization has been dispensed with, resolution of the Contrinex devices is virtually unlimited. The use of analog
sensor technology permits the realization of numerous applications. For instance, the finely regulated approach to end
positions at minimum cost, the realization of several switch points with a single device, or the monitoring of shaft
concentricity. The sensors feature a bandwidth of 500 Hz, as well as a voltage (0 to 5 V or 0 to 10 V) and a current
output (1 to 5 mA or 4 to 20 mA) in the same device, thus providing the user with great flexibility. The devices are
fully potted, equipped with glass windows and comply with the degree of protection IP 67.

 Series 4040 |
Maximum performance in a 40 x 40 x 19 mm housing. These devices are ideally suited for demanding
applications, thanks to operating distances of 2 m (diffuse sensor) and 6 m (reflex sensor). As a result of a built-in power
saving module, these distances are attained using very little energy. Available types include diffuse sensors, reflex sensors,
through-beam sensors and fiber-optic amplifiers for glass fibers.

 Series 4050 |
These new Contrinex photoelectric sensors with considerably improved background suppression are built
into a 40 x 50 x 15 mm housing and excel by their long operating distance of 500 mm, with a setting range from 20 to
500 mm. The operating distance is furthermore independent of the target color, shape or surface structure, and is set by
means of a 3-turn potentiometer with position indication. The devices feature a switching frequency of 500 Hz and work
with red light, which considerably simplifies their alignment. Their outstanding optical characteristics moreover result
in a quasi-linear output function with a virtually negligible blind zone (< 1 mm at s = 300 mm). The sensors are enclosed
in a glass-fiber-reinforced PBTP housing, complying with insulation class II. They are equipped with a glass window and a
connector that may be adjusted from 0 to 90°. In addition to conventional fixing methods, such as mounting brackets,
dovetail fastening provides an alternative option.

 Series 6080 |
CONTRINEX series 6080 photoelectric proximity sensor is suitable for conveyors and other applications
where extremely robust devices in large housings are required. It offers an extensive functional program contained in a
65 x 83 x 25 mm housing. Available models include energetic diffuse sensors, diffuse sensors with background suppression,
reflex sensors, and through-beam sensors. All 6080 series CONTRINEX photoelectric proximity switches are available in DC or
combined AC/DC (20 to 265 VAC, 20 to 320 VDC) execution with relay output. Connection is via connectors or screw terminals.
All variations can be delivered with a timer.

 Glass Fiber Optics |
A large range of glass optical fibers is available for the 4040 series, and partially for the 3030 / 3031
and 3060 / 3065 series. The program includes types suitable for the most difficult operating conditions and the widest range of
sensing applications. Moreover, custom-made models are available at a low extra cost, even for small order quantities.
