ABB Machinery Drive
The
ABB ACS350 General Machinery Drive are
designed for the machine building sector. In serial type manufacturing the consumed time per unit is critical. The ACS350 ABB
Drive is designed to be the fastest drive in terms of installation, and commissioning. |

The Cimrex Panasonic Touchscreens
offer advanced TCP/IP network features that are very simple to set up. It is possible to network and monitor multiple panels
through the internet or intranet. With this capability, you can edit both PLC and touch panel programs, change data points, monitor
screens, transfer recipes, retrieve trend files or alarm data, send email, and create customized web pages for each panel. The
CIMREX 91 is a large resistive Panasonic touch screen. The backlit 10.4" TFT screen offers excellent contrast and brightness. The
panel supports dual driver capability, data exchange, web features, email, macros, and many drivers for other devices. |

Pictures and symbols are displayed in 640x480 pixel resolution and 256 colors which makes it
possible to use very detailed background pictures. The CIMREX 69 is a resistive Panasonic NAiS
touch screen that can be mounted vertically or horizontally. The panel supports dual driver capability, data exchange, web
features, email, macros, and many drivers for other devices. Contrast and brightness can be controlled from the screen by easily
creating a link to a touch key. Pictures and symbols are displayed in 320 x 240 pixels and 256 colors. |

Inverters manufacturer Yaskawa Drives has developed special software for
its AC inverters to optimise lift control while simplifying the setting. Setting AC inverter drives for lift applications can be
tricky. The human passengers carried in a lift are the most sensitive detectors of all, with regard to the acceleration and
deceleration that dictates ride quality, which is why all lift engineers pursue the best possible smoothness of control. Drives
manufacturer Yaskawa has developed special software for its AC inverters to optimise lift control while simplifying the setting.
The benefits for the lift installer are that startup time is reduced because the lift-specific parameters are factory default.
No specific inverter expertise is required to tune the drive as the menu of parameters to be
adjusted is reduced significantly. Brake operation is safe, optimised and factory set as a default. |
 |
The software also makes the
VFD Drives flexible and easy to adapt to any lift controller sequence.
The majority of existing traction lifts in Europe have single or two-speed motors with or without variable voltage systems
(thyristor controls). The ride quality of these lifts is greatly improved by installing AC inverters for lift control. There are
also energy consumption reductions of up to 50% and, thanks to the inherent ability to soft start and soft stop the lifts, wear and
tear is similarly reduced. In a typical lift sequence, the controller selects the direction and pre-set speeds (top speed,
levelling speed and service speed). |

Turck Inc. has released a
new 8-pin M12 eurofast connector that was designed specifically for use with
Kubler Incremental Encoders. Kubler by Turck encoders are
typically used in strenuous factory applications such as material handling, conveyors systems, process control and web control.
The E-WKC 8T-PX3-930-* was designed to provide quick and easy connectivity in these demanding environments. The E-WKC 8T-PX3-930-*
cordset has three LEDs housed in a translucent molded right-angle connector for indication of channels A, B and Z. Green LEDs
indicate channels A and B, while amber is used for the index channel. The LEDs can also be used during machine set-up for home
position indication, and provide operational status of the encoder output channels. |
 |
The cordset allows the use of 5-30 VDC, and draws minimal current for proper operation. The
E-WKC 8T-PX3-930-* cordset is manufactured with an extremely rugged, PVC flexlife cable that is designed to withstand over 2
million flex cycles. They are available with nickel-plated brass or stainless steel coupling nuts and provide protection that
meets the following standards: UL, CSA, NEMA 1, 3, 4, 6P, and IEC IP 68. |
