High starting torque (150% at 0.3Hz) - Improved sensorless vector control & auto auto tuning provide for high starting torque of 150% or more at 0.3Hz. Easy adjustment of motor constants meets the needs of high torque applications, such as cranes, extruders or lifts.

Tripless operation - A high speed internal processor improves current control performance. Over-current suppression and over-voltage suppression functions help avoid inverter tripping during acceleration and deceleration.

Built-in PLC-like programming functions - Sequence operation is realized by downloading to an inverter a program created with Hitachi's EzSQ software. Tailor inverter operation to meet changing process requirements, and replace separate PLCs in some cases. By simplifying or eliminating external hardware, signficant cost savings can be achieved. Password function is incorporated to provide security for proprietary program data against loss or unauthorized modification.

Long-life components & lifetime warning function - Life of DC bus capacitors & cooling fans is 10 years or more (design life). Life can be monitored via the display, and an output can be activated to notify when maintenance is due.

Ease of Maintenance - Field replacement of cooling fan(s) and DC bus capacitors can be accomplished in a fraction of the time. Using Logic terminal move to SJ700 without wiring change. Read SJ300 Parameter by SRW remote operator and write them in to SJ700.

Network compatibility - A serial RS-485 Modbus-RTU port is standard. The SJ700 can communicate with DeviceNet, PROFIBUS-DP, and other networks with communication options.

Surge voltage suppression - Hitachi's innovative PWM control suppresses motor terminal voltage to less than two times internal DC bus voltage. This voltage is lower than the maximum insulation voltage of many commercial induction motors.

• SJ-DG Digital Input Option Board - Provides 16 digital inputs to allow the inputting of speed reference, acceleration or deceleration rate, or other parameters by means of a 16-bit digital input value from a PLC, for example.
• SJ-DN2 DeviceNet Option Board - Allows an SJ700 or L700 Pump Inverter to communicate over a DeviceNet factory network.
• SJ-EN Ethernet Option Board - Allows an SJ700 or L700 inverter to communicate over an Ethernet factory network using Modbus/TCP protocol.
• SJ-FB Feedback Option Board (SJ700 Only) - receives feedback pulses from a digital encoder on the motor. This board is required for full vector control mode and for master/follower (electronic gearing) operation.
