The HG3G series of touchscreens are high definition TFT LCD displays with resolution of SVGA 800x600 pixels. With 65,536 available colors to provide realistic images and the brightest displays in the market (8.4" - 600 cd/m2, 10.4" - 700 cd/m2) these screens provide clear, sharp and bright displays even in environments with low light.

Operations are quick and command response time is immediate with the HG3G Series. In addition, the touchscreens startup within 3 seconds, improving productivity and allowing faster access to critical programs or problem identification. The HG3G screens have 12 MB of internal memory to store large complex projects.

An external speaker with built-in amplifier can be attached to the HG3G to provide sound output. For example, sound can be used to alert someone or for faster system recovery when a problem occurs on the plant floor. In addition, use prerecorded messages as a voice guidance system for more efficient operations. Up to 2 Microsmart digital I/O modules can be mounted on one HG3G , eliminating the use of a PLC and saving space in the panel. This also means that the project programming can all be done in the operator interface utilizing parts and scripts to do simple I/O control.

Super Bright LCD Screens:
The 5.7" monochrome LCD screen is the BRIGHTEST in the market with an impressive 500 cd/m2 and 15 level grayscale. The 256 color LCD screen is no slouch either, boasting 350 cd/m2 illuminations. In addition, this analog resistive touchscreen provides a flexible layout, making it easy to design a custom screen for your specific application or project.

Built-in Ethernet Port:
Remote communication is simple using 1:1 or 1:N Communications with some of the network drivers available: IDEC with Web Server module, Allen Bradley Ethernet /IP or Modbus TCP/IP. IDEC HG3F is a 256 color touchscreen with TFT LCD screen and replaceable backlights. The HG3F has a 10.4" screen with a display of 640 W x 320 H pixels and a panel depth of 56mm. It has a built-in 10 Base T Ethernet port for remote communication to multiple PLCs over Ethernet network and has a Web Server function which allows the touchscreen to be remotely monitored using a web browser in your PC. This unit has 8MB of built-in memory standard and supports Compact Flash memory.

The HG3F is programmable with WindO/I-NV2 software. The software is very intuitive with click and drop functionality and a workspace for easy management of the project. This software also comes with built-in drivers to support over 100 type of controllers and a library of bitmap images with more than 5000 images in color and monochrome.

There are four available HG2F models, with a monochrome or 256-color screen, each in a compact and lightweight housing with the same great features. IDEC HG2F has an amazing 192 touch regions and a replaceable backlight. But what really makes the HG2F stand out is the UL-1604 listing, making it IDEC's first touchscreen approved for use in hazardous locations.

Complete user configuration is easy with new WindO/I-NV2 software. The HG2F is compatible with Microsmart PLCs and includes drivers for other major PLC brands as well. HG2F-C models feature IDEC's patented CC CLICK technology. A plastic overlay with four distinct buttons covers the bottom of the screen. These buttons provide the tactile and audio feedback you can't get with other touchscreens, without sacrificing programming flexibility. This technology is ideal for gloved operators and frequent tasks.

There are four IDEC HG1X models available. The HG1X-252 and 222 have a 16-character, 2-line backlit LCD and six function keys. The HG1X-452 and 422 have a 20-character, 4-line backlit LCD with eight function keys and a numeric keypad. The HG1X-252 and 452 models do not require an External Power Supply. These two models draw power from the PLC port. The HG1X-222 and 422 are 24 VDC and now support RS232 or RS485 communications.

These interfaces are compatible with IDEC Micro3, Micro3C and ONC (as well as several other PLCs from other manufacturers), including the new MicroSmart series. Also available is WindMSG, IDEC's Windows based programming tool designed to program the HG1X series of Operator Interfaces. The function keys are all user-definable and can have different functions depending on the active screen. Drivers are available to connect to non-IDEC PLCs.

WindO/I-NV2 is IDEC's screen creation software for the HG1F, HG2F, HG3F and HG4F operator interfaces (touch screen displays.) WindO/I-NV2 is used to create projects or programs that layout display screens for the O/Is. Using this window based program, any of IDEC's touch screens can display information from a PLC, process status, or can be used to input data with virtual switches or keypads to make changes to a process. WindO/I-NV2 is easy and intuitive. Many of the processes are self-explanatory and guide you from step-to-step as you configure the O/I. The help menus are simple, straightforward, and are a good resource for getting additional information.
