P Series Push-in Terminal Blocks
Weidmuller Inc. - VA, USA introduces the new P Series terminal blocks with
push-in connection technology, designed to provide manufacturers with secure and reliable terminations, and achieve true savings.
Designed to reduce the number of Terminal Block Variations
required, three P Series terminal blocks cover a cross section of 2.5mm2 to 16mm2 - a function previously requiring five
different blocks. A power supply terminal for electrical distribution applications is also available.

SUNX Ultra-Thin Static Ionizers
SUNX ER-VW Series Of Ultra-Slim,
high-performance ionizers performs highly efficient static removal using a high-frequency AC method. This method produces an
excellent ion balance ensuring that acts to quickly remove static charge from your work piece. Also, the supplied air pressure
or the setup distance does not affect the ion balance, so installation is quick and easy.
The dual nozzle design of SUNX ER-VW incorporates a nozzle angle adjustment feature for optimal placement
and targeting of your ion flow. Up to five units can be easily connected together allowing for the use of one air line and
power supply for a series of units. Also, with a low air flow minimum or 15 l/min, air usage is much lower than with
conventional units.
High performance functions have also been added to enhance the usability and the lifetime of the discharge
needle. A discharge halt input has been integrated to interact with a trigger sensor to only allow discharge in the presence of
a work piece. Furthermore, if the unit detects a drop in pressure below the minimum air flow requirement, it will automatically
shut off the ion discharge and activate the output for an alarm. This eliminates the possibility of charged pieces to go
untreated if the air supply halts.
The maintenance procedure has been simplified by using 'check' and 'error' LEDs to notify the operator of
the need for service; and, because the discharge needle is fully covered by the nozzle, safety in needle replacement
operations is ensured.

Encoder Sense Absolute Position Magnetically
Hans TURCK GmbH Co. KG - Germany introduces a new
series of encoders that measure absolute position magnetically, rather than optically.
The 3650 & 3670 Encoder Series function in many
applications that had previously been off limits to absolute encoders. The encoders provide a resolution of 9 bits with SSI,
4 to 20 mA, or 0 to 10 V output. Integrated LEDs for reference point detection facilitate start-up and simplify fault
diagnostics during maintenance.
