With 6 different sensing heads to choose from, wide beam (200mm), as well as tight beam spot (0.3mm) versions are available for use in a wide array or applications. The DATALOGIC SL5 Series Lasers, thanks to the laser emission concentrated in a thin light beam, represent the ideal solution for the detection of very small objects or to reach very long operating distances. Precise detections with decimillimetre resolutions can be obtained with the proximity model at an operating distance ranging from 0 to 35 cm. High operating distances can be reached with the 12 m polarised retroreflex model, or with the 60 m through beam model; high-resolution detections at shorter distances can be effected also. The visible red emission is generated by a Class 1 laser according to the EN 60825-1, guaranteeing the maximum safety in all applications.

A new M12 laser sensor with a body length of only 50mm and an operating range of 50m has been developed by CONTRINEX for use in hostile environments that prohibit the use of Photoelectric and Fiber Optic Sensors and where even inductive devices are susceptible to failure.

Protected to IP67, immune to interference from other light sources, resistant to high shock levels and protected against the effects of electro-magnetic radiation, these M12, stainless steel, high performance sensors are ideal for processes such as welding where fumes, soot and sparks create an extremely hostile environment and yet it is necessary to verify certain key components are present and correctly assembled.
