NK Technologies (NK Technology - Neilsen Kuljian)' Parent Company was a System Integrator. NK Technologies began automating industrial sites in Silicon Valley in 1982. An early NK Technologies project required close control of AC motors and electric resistance heaters. A thorough search found that there were no products available that could accurately monitor these loads. So NK Technologies engineers developed a unique self-contained current operated switch. Word of this NK Technologies Current Switches invention quickly spread throughout the control engineering community. In 1986 the Board of Directors decided that NK Technologies should focus on developing innovative, current sensors and power monitoring products.
