TURCK released a new QR24 rotary inductive sensor to expand programmability for industrial applications and improve rotary position feedback for the mobile equipment market. The QR24 for mobile equipment features a low operating voltage of 8-30 VDC with 0.5 - 4.5 V output.
This technology is immune to vibrations and interference, ensuring accuracy and longevity to avoid replacement downtime and comes in an IP68/IP69K rated housing to protect against moisture and dust in demanding environments.
All QR24 sensors use resistance inductive capacitance (RLC) measuring technology to process and communicate position. Each sensor is manufactured with printed emitter and receiver coil systems fully potted within the housing. When the emitter coils are activated with a high frequency AC field, they produce an inductive RLC circuit with the positioning element. The position of that element is processed based on the induced signal to the receiver coils in the sensors.
For mobile equipment and industrial applications, this wear-free technology is ideal when applied directly to the shaft of a motor to provide superior accuracy for position feedback. In conjunction with RLC technology, TURCK's QR24 rotary inductive sensors provide high-resolution and 16-bit noiseless operation. The double resonator system offers increased distance capability and highend signal processing with a multicore microprocessor for enhanced speed.
The QR24 is part of TURCK's Q-track family of sensors.
To keep up with the continuing shrinking sizes of control devices, TURCK is excited to announce its smallest Industrial Ethernet connectivity solution available to date. TURCK's new M8 Ethernet will offer all of the benefits customers are accustomed to from TURCK Ethernet connectivity, but in a smaller package for applications with limited space.
With the ability to transfer up to 100Mbps of data, TURCK's new M8 connector for Ethernet is suitable for various Industrial Ethernet protocols, including EtherCAT. It utilizes a shielded CAT 5e cable, with the 360 degree shielding carried through to the coupling nut. In addition, the cable offers a high flex rating.
"In conjunction with the release of our ultra-compact TBEN-S module, which utilizes M8 Ethernet for the bus connection, we wanted to offer our customers an Industrial Ethernet connectivity solution for applications with limited space," said Laura Schweitz, Product Manager for TURCK. The M8 connector for Ethernet is ideal for use with TURCK's new ultra-compact digital TBEN-S modules. The compact connector design is rugged and suitable for use in IP67 rated environments. It will reliably operate in temperatures ranging from -40° C to 70° C. The overmolded construction eliminates time-consuming hand-wiring and misconfigurations common to twisted pair cables, and is available in both straight and right angle configurations. In addition, hybrid cordsets are available, to convert from the M8 connector to a D-code M12 or RJ45.
TURCK announces new Gen. 2 AS-interface (AS-i) safety gateways manufactured by Bihl+Wiedemann and distributed by TURCK in the United States. The new gateways integrate AS-i safety monitors and slaves, allowing two safety at work networks and up to 16 release circuits to be monitored through a single gateway. Now, two independent AS-i networks can be powered by a single power supply, providing diagnostic data to the higher level controller and eliminating the cost associated with additional power supplies and gateways.
Bihl+Wiedemann AS-i masters monitor duplicate address detection, ground faults, EMC levels, error counter, emergency stop, safety light barriers - and more. The safety products are available with relay or electronic outputs with expanded programming that allows up to 256 functions without increasing the response time. Up to 31 Safety at Work networks can be easily linked and started together.
The Gen. 2 gateways are available for EtherNet/IP, ModbusTCP, PROFINET, PROFIBUS-DP and EtherCAT, providing the user with detailed diagnostic data and system status through the display and through the host network, and include a removable memory card that stores up to four ASIMON software programs where basic characteristics may be added.
TURCK introduces an integrated terminal chamber for its line of Uprox + sensors that conforms to FDA requirements for washdown applications in the food and beverage industry, such as dairies, breweries and bakeries.
The terminal chamber includes removable terminals for quick and easy mounting, either by means of screws or cage clamps.
Furthermore, by simply rotating the cover by 180 degrees, the user has the option of a straight or 90 degree cable exit.
TURCK's UPROX+ line of Factor 1 sensors detect all metals at the same rated distance and meet the requirements for food safe materials.
The sensors are available in 12, 18 and 30 mm stainless steel barrels with a liquid crystal polymer (LCP) front cap that is impermeable to cleaning agents, disinfectants, high pressure and steam cleaning.
TURCK's Q08 UPROX+ Factor 1 sensor is now equipped with extended range capabilities of 8 mm for all metals. The Q08 sensors' compact size is well-suited for applications with limited mounting space, and an IP 68 protection rating allows the sensors to be used in a wide variety of applications.
The Q08 sensor family comes equipped with internal shielding that effectively eliminates pre-damping, allowing the user to utilize the sensor's full switching distance even when mounted on metal surfaces. Two LEDs provide a reliable visible indication of the switching status. TURCK's uprox+ factor 1 sensors do not have a reduction factor and are capable of detecting steel, stainless steel, copper, brass and aluminum at the same rated sensing distance.
Turck is pleased to announce the addition of a 2-wire, DC stainless steel faced sensors with an extended sensing range. With the extended range additions, Turck furthers its most complete line of stainless steel faced sensors in North America.
Stainless steel faced sensors are an ideal fit to be used as substitutes for traditional plastic faced sensors in applications where the sensors are routinely damaged by impact.
The one piece housing is made from high grade stainless steel which resists corrosion and is rated IP67 against moisture ingress. The standard temperature rating for the line is -25 to +70°C.
The rugged construction and design of the stainless steel sensor line allows it to fit the needs of a wide variety of applications. PTFE or WeldGuard coating is available upon request.

In AP-Client Mode an Access Point is necessary to set up a Basic Service Set (BSS) for a wireless connection. The AP can be used to create a wireless LAN, or to connect an existing WLAN with a wired network. Bridge mode offers a simple way to connect two Ethernet devices over a point-topoint connection wirelessly with one another. The most common operating mode for wireless networks are AP client mode (Access Point) and bridge mode.
