Weidmuller Interface GmbH & Co. introduces a new generation of robust rectangular connectors: RockStar. Innovative details include a high-quality die-cast aluminum housing with a stainless-steel locking system as standard, a high-quality multi-layered surface sealing, as well as laser-etched identification marking.
With these standard features, RockStar housings are suitable for corrosive environments and are ideal for industrial applications. They are available in versions with IP65 and the newly rated IP69k protection class ratings. Additionally, RockStar housings are the only ones that fulfill the NEMA 250-1991, Type 4X standard. With integrated insulation strips, all housings are designed for high voltage applications. RockStar portfolio features four different types of housings such as, hood style, coupling, bulkhead and base.
The standard housings are available in both "standard" and "high" profile designs and are formatted with either side or end locking levers. A stainless steel omega spring is used in the side locking system to ensure a reliable locking mechanism that prevents accidental openings. The locking system has been tested to both vibration and shock resistant norms. The innovative design of the RockStar housings also means that the customary threaded sleeve sockets for cable gland insertion is a thing of the past. Each RockStar housing features additional integrated threads, so that there are no restrictions on the type of cable gland that can be used.
The users choose the preferred gland for their applications. Five connection systems are available including screw clamp, tension clamp, crimp, axial screw, and the new push-in direct connection. Weidmuller RockStar rectangular series connectors are the only ones on the market today offering push-in direct connection, which provides additional time savings in design and installation labor. All of the materials used for inserts and housings are free from toxic substances, complying with existing and planned international guidelines.
Weidmuller announces a new class of signal conditioner - the wave TTA. This new module provides a unique degree of flexibility, functioning as a signal isolator, transmitter, converter, linearizer and trip amplifier, all in a single unit. It offers users precision measurement accuracy to meet the diverse and demanding needs of the process industry. The Wave TTA continues Weidmuller's strategy of providing premium, high-quality electronic solutions to complement their trusted connectivity solutions.
Flexibility and functionality are key with the Wave TTA. In one module, all common analog DC input types (including temperature, DC and frequency) and ranges can be accepted. All output types such as bipolar are settable. Input/output configuration changes are simple to perform via laptop or PC with the easy-to-use, free, downloadable software. Process industry users will benefit from a wide range of features, such as the ability to mount the Wave TTA signal conditioner in any location, and with virtually any power supply. The -40°F to 158°F operating temperature range allows for mounting the module in either the factory or a field enclosure, and the universal AC/DC power input makes installation easy and cost-efficient.
The new WAVE Line is a success thanks to its uniform housing concept in which up to eight copper ports and one optional FO connection can be integrated. Weidmuller WAVE-Line products integrate 7 to 8 ports in confined spaces in a compact plastic housing. With integral features such as Autonegotiation and Autocrossing, and an operating temperature range of 0°C to 60°C, the WaveLine is ideal for setting up industrial ethernet wherever you require a simplelink between your terminal equipment and your Ethernet system.
If all you want to do is connect a small application, ECO-Line switches are easy to install and are an inexpensive alternative to more advanced components. ECO-Line from Weidmuller is the affordable way to get started in the field of industrial Ethernet. The line comprises a 5-port version, also available as a flat version, and an 8-port version in a robust housing.
Weidmuller's Advanced Line unmanaged switches consist of between 6 and 24 segments with RJ45 copper and an optional SC or ST fiber-optic cable port in a very slimline design (44 mm). Weidmuller is pleased to announce the introduction of a new line of AC DIN-rail receptacles - the new DRAC Line. These DIN-rail receptacles are a further addition to Weidmuller's existing line of simplex, duplex, and GFCI in-panel receptacles. The DRAC line provides users with a convenient power source inside the control cabinet for laptops, test equipment, lighting, solder irons and much more. Compact at only 2.9" wide and 4.6" high, Weidmuller's new DRAC line of DIN-rail receptacles are fully enclosed and touch safe. They include 15A or 20A power outlets that provide a simple and convenient power source inside a panel or enclosure.
The DRAC line offers design flexibility and savings on installation time. The receptacles are ready to install right out of the box, and can be installed onto 35mm DIN-rail or for added convenience directly panel-mounted. The receptacles accept solid or stranded wiring from 20AWG to 10AWG. The DRAC line is UL approved for use in any UL panel or control system. The UL508A and cULus approvals coupled with NEMA ratings make it effortless to add to a control cabinet or system.
