Analog Panel Meters
Looking for a way to trim cost and save space? Check out
Red Lion Control's new CUB5 Analog Panel Meters. The
meters are less expensive and less than half the size of most standard 1/8 DIN panel meters. Less panel space and the ability to
utilize smaller enclosures make these meters the perfect solution for any budget. |
New Products
With its price, its flexibility and a power range of up to 20 Hp, the SMVector Lenze
AC Tech Drives excel in environments where inverter technology was
once considered too costly, including packaging machinery, food processing machinery, material handling/conveying systems and HVAC
systems. The Lenze AC Tech SMVector Inverter carries all the features required by demanding applications including four modes of
operation (V/Hz, Enhanced V/Hz, Vector Speed, and Torque), high starting torque, auto-tuning, advanced low-speed control, and
dynamic speed regulation. The Lenze AC Tech SMVector Drives continue our price leadership tradition in the highly competitive AC
drive market. The Lenze AC Tech SMVector VFD delivers on its promise of price
leadership while delivering unparalleled performance and simplicity. |
 |
AC Tech Lenze SMVector is the right choice when you need it all. Program the SMVector quickly and
easily using the electronic programming module (EPM). The EPM stores the AC Tech drives parameter configuration and simplifies
initial setup. Design quality is meticulously managed throughout our product's life cycle. Our design engineers are continuously
monitoring new technology trends that increase product performance and component reliability. AC Tech Lenze never stops thinking
about process improvements through automation. In fact, we have invested millions in automating our new state-of-the-art
manufacturing facility. When you open the box you will immediately see and feel the attention to detail that goes into producing
the AC Tech SMVector Drive. |

Analog Advantage To Small-Format Sensors
Contrinex has introduced a C8 format
version of its popular high performance, low cost, analog, inductive sensors that have an extremely long sensing distance and many
advantages over digital sensors. In common with other products in the range, these new sensors have a sensing distance of 4mm, four
times that provided by conventional devices. To achieve this sensing distance with normal analogue sensors a unit with a diameter
of at least M18 would have to be specified.

Explosion-Proof Receptacles Save Time and Money
Turck introduces new 7/8-16UN
Minifast explosion-proof feed-through receptacles. The 2 to 6 wire Turck receptacles provide a safe and efficient way to
implement explosion-proof protection in Class I, Division 2 hazardous areas for all industries. The feed-through installs
directly in standard conduit entries in explosion-proof enclosures without requiring a poured seal, conduit or extensive wiring.
An incorporated Minifast quick-disconnect eliminates field terminations and is compatible with Turck's FM approved cordsets. The
feed-through is fully potted with a force-resistant compound tested to 9,000 psi; exceeding FM requirements by 50 percent. The
high-quality, 316 stainless steel housing and keyed connector eliminate incorrect wiring and accomodates standard power in
hazardous locations. These connectors provide NEMA 1, 3, 4, 6P and IEC IP 67 protection. |
 |
All Turck Minifast Connectors,
& receptacles are rated for 600V. Turck connectors can be used for power and signals to factory automation equipment in the
material handling, automotive, conveyors, and automated equipment industries, including Safety Light Curtains and Turck junction
boxes. The B size Minifast Turck connectors offer a 6, 7, or 8-pin connection and the C size Mini Fast Turck cable connector offers
a 9, 10, or 12-pin connection. Turck Minifast connectors are the most rugged connector anywhere. The 2 mm pins and spring style
contacts offer exceptional current ratings. Paired with 16 AWG cable (18 AWG also available) the 6-pin Minifast cables offer a full
9 A of current carrying capability and the 12-pin mini fast connectors can handle 6A. The extended coupling nut design provides
pull strength of over 200 lbs. Coupling nuts are available in nickel plated brass or 316 stainless steel to match any application
environment. The large over molded plug body of Turck Minifast connector with built in strain relief provides complete protection.
In fact, the Turck Minifast cable product line is rated to NEMA 1, 3, 4, 6P and IEC IP 68. |

Why & When To Install ABB ACS800 Multidrives?
Extremely compact Multidrive series from ABB, the ACS800, offers an array of benefits to integrators, OEMs, panel builders and end
users who are optimizing energy usage through precise control of motors. Since drives are available both in Multidrive and single
drive configurations, it is useful to define the difference, and profile the benefits that the next generation of Multidrives now
provides to users. Adjustable Speed Drives are used in any
application in which there is mechanical equipment powered by motors; the drives provide extremely precise electrical motor control,
so that motor speeds can be ramped up and down, and maintained, at speeds required; doing so utilizes only the energy required,
rather than having a motor run at constant (fixed) speed and utilizing an excess of energy. Since motors consume a majority of the
energy produced, the control of motors, based on demands of loads, increases in importance, as energy supplies become ever more
strained. |
 |
Additionally, end users of motors can realize 25% to 70% energy savings via use of motor
controllers. (Despite these benefits, the majority of motors continue to be operated without drives.) Single ABB industrial drives
are highly flexible AC drives that can be customized to meet the precise needs of a single-motor application. These units convert
AC power to DC, and then invert the DC back to an AC output to a motor. These
ABB ACS800 Drives cover a wide, full range of powers and voltages. Single industrial
drives also feature a wide range of built-in options as standard equipment. They can be installed for most applications right out
of the box; and they also can be ordered and manufactured as a customized unit for a particular application. |
