PAX2C Temperature/Process PID Controller

Red Lion's advanced PAX 2C PID controllers offer universal inputs, including thermocouples, RTDs, process signals, DC current/voltage and resistance, to provide an all-in-one platform that simplifies integration. Available in 1/8 DIN size, PAX2C controllers work with both FlexCard and standard field-installable PAX option cards to seamlessly support changing applications.

With a dual-line, tri-color display, PAX2C PID controllers offer six digits on the top row, nine digits on the bottom row and a graphical bar chart. The display is comprised of seven zones which may be configured independently to provide visual indication of control and/or alarm status. The easy-to-read display offers 18 mm character height on the top row, with 8.9 mm character height on the bottom row. The front panel is NEMA 4X/IP65 rated for ingress protection.

PAX2C controllers feature universal inputs to handle various input signals including temperature, process signals, DC voltage, DC current, and resistance. Additionally, a built-in mini-USB port for programming allows the controller to be programming without changing communication cards.

PSC Process Setpoint Controller

The PSC is a setpoint controller suitable for time vs. process control applications. The PSC Controller accepts either a 0 to 10 VDC or a 4 to 20 mA DC input signal, precisely scales the process signal, according to programmable scaling points, and provides an accurate output control signal (time proportional or linear) to maintain a process at the desired control point.

A comprehensive set of easy to use steps allows the controller to satisfy various applications. The user input can be programmed to perform a variety of controller functions.

The PSC has been designed to simplify the set-up and operation of a controlled setpoint profile program. The setpoint program is easily entered and controlled through the front panel. Full display capabilities keep the operator informed of the process value, profile status, output states, and setpoint value.

The PSC features four programs or profile recipes, each with up to eight ramp/soak segments, which can be easily stored and executed at any time. Longer profiles can be achieved by linking one or more profiles together, creating a single profile of up to 32 ramp/soak segments. Process profile conformity is assured during either soak (hold) phases or both ramp and hold phases by an adjustable error band parameter.
