MOVIDRIVE MDX60/61B is the new generation of drive inverters from SEW-EURODRIVE. The new series B MOVIDRIVE inverters, which feature a modular design, provide enhanced functions in the lower power range, more basic functions and greater overload capacity. AC drives with the latest digital inverter technology can now be used without restrictions in the 0.55 to 160 kW power range. The levels of dynamic performance and control quality that can now be achieved with MOVIDRIVE for Asynchronous AC Motors were previously only possible using servo drives or DC motors. The integrated control functions and the possibility of upgrading the system with technology and communication options results in drive systems that are designed for particularly high levels of efficiency in terms of their broad range of applications, project planning, startup and operation.

The units are equipped with the integrated IPOSplus positioning and sequence control system as standard. They can be expanded with the available options. The standard also includes protection against restart according to EN 954-1, safety category 3. The standard design is identified by the digits "00" at the end of the unit designation. In addition to the features of the standard version, these units include the electronic cam and internal synchronous operation technology functions. You can use all the application modules available in the MOVITOOLS MotionStudio software package with the application versions. The application version is indicated by "0T" following the type designation.

SEW offers various standardized control programs specifically for "positioning", "winding" and "controlling" applications. These programs are called application modules. The application modules are part of the MOVITOOLS MotionStudio operating software and can be used with units in application version. The benefits at a glance:

SEW Eurodrive MOVISAFE Safety Modules can be used universally and offer numerous possibilities for impelmenting effective and safe drive systems. The priority is to ensure highest safety requirements on the protection of persons and machinery and at the same time to increase system availability. The MOVISAFE safety monitor complies with the requirements of safety category 4 to EN 954-1 and has been developed in accordance with IEC 61508 SIL 3.

MOVISAFE is available as option module in conjunction with SEW Eurodrive's MOVIDRIVE B inverters for flexible use. The complexity of available safety functions, the flexibility of configuration, and the possibility of integrating the MOVISAFE safety monitor in safety bus systems, such as PROFISAFE, provides for safe monitoring of the drive function as well as optimum protective mechanisms in the event of a fault.

SEW Eurodrive MOVIDRIVE represents a new level of inverter functionality and capability. Yet its design allows for remarkably easy setup and commissioning, with a variety of intuitive tools.
