The 3 colors of the R G B LEDs are optimally selected according to the color combination. With the LX-100's Mark mode, the built-in "Automatic optimal LED selection function" automatically selects the LED for the largest contrast (S / N ratio) between the mark and base (non-mark area) to ensure optimal sensing. For more stable detection, the sensor makes selections according to the contrast and not according to the reflected light variation between the mark and base (non-mark area).
The LX-100 series of digital color mark sensors utilizes 3 LED elements (Red, Green, and Blue) offering high precision sensing of any color marking. A four digit digital display allows for user-friendly setting and monitoring of sensor settings. Six easy-to-see indicators surround the main display allowing quick and easy confirmation of the operating mode.
Also, the threshold value can be conveniently checked at the touch of a button. One-level, two-level and fully automatic teaching methods are available with an option of external teaching if the sensor is not easily accessible.

The FZ-10 series of color detection fiber sensors provide reliable and precise color discrimination by utilizing red, green, and blue LEDs as its light sources. Each LED is digitally processed so that accurate color detection is attained that is not possible with conventional fiber sensors. And with a 1ms response time, the FZ-10 is also suitable for high-speed manufacturing lines.
The setup procedure for the FZ-10 has been simplified by incorporating a teach button for manual and automatic threshold setting. In addition, a tolerance adjuster has been implemented for fine-tuning the output to a fine or coarse judgment level. The amplifier is small and compact for easy placement. Four fiber heads are available from the small beam spot FD-L53 (1mm diameter spot) to the long range FD-L54 (40mm distance).
