Introducing a Type 4 light curtain that combines high end performance with an ultra-slim enclosure. The
Panasonic SF4C series has been designed to offer a machine safeguarding solution without sacrificing productivity. Its size
and shape allow for it to fit efficiently into small machinery while maximizing the usable working space for the equipment
operator. The bright LED indicators located in the center of both sides of each light curtain can be illuminated green or red
by using external inputs. There is no need for setting up a separate indicator, so that equipment is consolidated.

 SF4B V2 Series |
The SF4B V2 series has a universal 14ms response time, regardless of the number of channels, the beam axis
pitch, or the number of units connected in series. The result is a simplification of the calculation work involved in
setting safety distances on your machine. The response time, coupled with the ultra small beam pitch of the finger protection
type, allows for installation of the light curtain much closer to danger point than a conventional model.
By integrating all functions into the light curtain itself, no longer is there a need for expensive safety
relay units or muting/blanking modules. The on-board controller supports standard functions such as floating blanking, fixed
blanking, and whole curtain muting. New to the SF4B is a Panasonic exclusive, channel select muting function which allow for
the user to partially mute the curtain if the object that is passing through does not take up the entire length of the
curtain. All muting/blanking functions are easily configured using the SFB-HC Handy Controller.

 BSF4-AH80 Series |
The compact light curtain SF4-AH80 is built into a highly flameproof enclosure conforming to the IEC 61946
(Type4). The light curtain can be safely used in any workplace throughout the world where flameproof performance is
required. A single light curtain is sufficient for production lines with high working heights such as vehicle body
spray-painting lines.

 SF4-AH Series |
SUNX SF4-AH series has surpassed the most stringent international safety levels and is compliant with
the machinery directive and OSHA/ ANSI standards. This series has been certified for usage in any workplace around the world.
It uses two independent CPUs, which mutually check the safety conditions.
High reliability safety design is realized by incorporating dual circuits for signal processing and output.
Furthermore, in order to ensure safety, FMEA (Failure Mode & Effect Analysis) has been used to prove safe operation. The
SF4-AH has a high-speed 11 ms response time, regardless of the number of beam channels. This high-speed response simplifies
the entire process of safety distance calculation and allows the safe distance between the danger areas and the light curtain
to be reduced.

 SF2-EH Series |
SUNX SF2-EH series of safety light curtains provides Type 4 protection for complete machine safeguarding
applications. With a maximum individual sensor height of 1580mm and a 10m detection distance, one sensor can cover the are that
previously required 2 sensors. Further expansion can be performed by connecting up to 4 sensors, or 192 beam channels, in
series, all with built-in interference support. Parallel connection of up to 12 sets is also possible.
It uses two independent CPUs, which mutually check the safety conditions. High reliability fail-safe design
is realized by incorporating dual circuits for signal processing and output. Furthermore, in order to ensure safety, FMEA
(Failure Mode & Effects Analysis) has been used to prove safe operation. The sensor unit continually performs self-checking
on its internal circuitry, its cable integrity and even checks for interference from extraneous light. In the event of any
fault or malfunction, the sensor outputs the same signal (OFF signal) as is produced during actual beam detection
operation.

 SF2-A Series |
SUNX SF2-A series of safety light curtains are a Type 2 solution offering an extremely compact, 19mm
thickness. The SF2-A series have the same level of safety built into the sensor body as
Conventional Fail-Safe Type Area Sensors, and conform to European and North
American safety standards. The sensor carries out self-diagnosis when it is turned ON. The monitoring system (CPU), which is
inside the emitter, constantly checks the emitting and control circuits. Furthermore, the receiver also has a monitoring
system (CPU) which constantly checks the receiving circuit, control circuit and output circuit, so that a high level of safety
is maintained at all times.
Using the optional serial connection cable, a maximum of 3 sets of sensors can be connected in series with a
total of 128 beam channels (for 20 mm beam pitch type) or 64 beam channels (for 40 mm beam pitch type). This allows for
L-shaped and U-shaped areas to be easily covered. Previously, separate wiring was required for 3 sets of sensors. But now,
wiring equivalent to that for only one set is required, thus saving troublesome wiring and costs. An integrated Extraneous
Light Check (ELC) function prevents the malfunction of the light curtain due to high-intensity light sources that may pass by
the system.

SUNX SF2-N series of safety light curtains are a Type 2 solution offering an extremely compact, 19mm

The no dead zone design ensures that the light curtain can be placed on the inside frame of your machine, thus creating a more
efficient integration, with less potential for damage to the unit from an external source. The SF4B is available in three
standard types:

The ST4 series from SUNX offers a single beam safety sensor for machine guarding applications that do not
require full light curtain setup. The ST4 series can be expanded to allow for 6 sensors wired in series and up to three controllers for a total system of 18 sensors.

- Compliance up to Control Category 4 - Control Category 4 is satisfied with an SF4-AH series / SF2-EH series

- Connecting terminal blocks are not needed - As SF-AC incorporates power supply terminals and synchronization line
terminals for the light curtain, terminal blocks are no longer required.
- Incorporates a 2-channel auxiliary output - SF-AC incorporate an auxiliary output that operates along with the light
curtain's control output (OSSD), as well as an alarm output that functions together with the light curtain's auxiliary
output (non-safety output). These features allow monitoring of light curtain's activity.
