SymCom Model 77C is a fully-programmable electronic overload relay designed to monitor single-phase systems. It can be used as a stand-alone product or the communication port can be used to form a network to monitor the motors from a PC or other control system. Applications include Conveyor Systems, HVAC Equipment, Pumps, Saws, Grinders, and other 1-phase electric motors. The Model 77C includes a built-in current transformer (CT) which will handle applications from 2-90 Amps. The Model 77C-LR is a low amperage range model used with motors drawing 1-9 full load amps.

SymCom Model 77C-KW/HP has important advantages over current monitors in many protection applications. Any motor load that has a small or very non-linear change in current vs. load requires the use of a power monitor for underload, dry run and dead-head protection. The change in power vs. load is more linear for most motor loads and is greater in magnitude than the change in current in all motor loads. This is because power measurements take into account both power factor (pf) and current. The built-in UL Listed/CSA approved overload, current unbalance, reverse phase, single-phase and other protection features are significant benefits over similar products.

The Model 777-P2 Series is a family of fully programmable electronic overload relays. They are designed to monitor and protect any 3-phase 200-480VAC (500-600VAC for 777-575-P2) motor drawing 2-800 full load amps (external CTs are required above 90 amps). They provide unsurpassed protection from faulty voltage, underload and overload conditions. Common applications include conveyor systems, HVAC equipment, saws and grinders, fan motors and almost any pumping application. The 777-P2 Series units can be used as a stand-alone product or the RS-485 communications port can be used to form a network to communicate with a PC, PLC or SCADA system.

SymCom 777-FT is intended for applications where a fast linear trip is required. It has an overcurrent trip delay that can be set to less than 500 ms, to be used in applications where very short trip delays are needed to prevent chain drives and other drive linkages from breaking in an overload or jam situation. Often times it is referred to as a shock relay. Some applications include sewage clarifiers, mixers, augers and conveyors. The trip delay can be set to as much as 70 seconds, so it can also be used when a slower than normal trip is desired. A slower trip may be desired in certain applications such as motor test panels in a rewind shop.

SymCom Model 777-TS can be used on any 3-phase motor drawing from 2-800 Amps. Applications include conveyor systems, HVAC equipment, pumps, saws, grinders and other 3-phase electric motors. In addition, the 777-TS, when used with a Subtrol-equipped submersible motor can detect high motor temperatures. The Model 777-TS is a fully-programmable electronic overload relay. An alphanumeric LED display provides programming and diagnostic information. Programming the Model 777-TS is an easy four step process. An RS-485 port allows the Model 777-TS to be connected to an RM-1000 or RM-2000 remote monitor or directly to a computer or PLC.

SymCom 777-AccuPower monitors voltage, current, and power to protect 3-phase motors. Motor parameters can be programmed into the 777-AccuPower to assist in accurately estimating motor output power. The 9-pin communication port can be used for Modbus communication or for 4-20mA analog output of the calculated output power. The 777-AccuPower is a fully-programmable motor and pump protection relay with motor output power display. Voltage, current and power measurements are displayed on the three-digit display, as well as fault information and setpoints.

The SymCom 777VA-02 is an electronic overload relay with the same features as a 777-P, with the added convenience of a Restart Delay 1 of 0,2-500 minutes (RD1) and a Under Current Trip Delay of 2-255 minutes (UCTD). These added features are essential for pumps that require a longer restart delay to allow for long back-spin time and for motors with extended soft-start times. This unit replaces the old SymCom model number 777-RD1M-UCTDM.

The SymCom 777VA-03 is an electronic overload relay with the same features as a 777-P, but is designed to work with single-phase to three-phase converters. It is designed to ignore the voltage on L3, which is usually the high leg of a phase converter. It will use the two phases of incoming voltage on L1 and L2 to monitor for voltage fluctuations (while ignoring L3) and use the current draws from the load side of the contactor through the A, B and C holes in the back of the unit to check for unbalance and single phasing.
