TURCK announces the availability of BL20 Economy gateways for EtherNet/IP and Modbus TCP. Providing a flexible in-the-cabinet system for distributed I/O, these economical gateways can be paired with a broad range of I/O slices to suit virtually any application's communications and transparency requirements. The gateways provide sophisticated features in an economical and compact package, including dual Ethernet ports and functionality with digital and analog, as well as specialty modules.

BL20 Economy gateways are equipped with an integrated Ethernet switch that allows a line topology between multiple gateways without using an external switch, eliminating the need for additional cable runs to the PLC. BL20 Economy gateways bridge the backplane communication to the network communication, such as EtherNet/IP, Modbus TCP, DeviceNet, CANopen or PROFIBUS.

TURCK's new IP20 rated Ethernet switches simplify and reduce traffic on Ethernet networks. The SE20 5-port unmanaged Ethernet switch stores and forwards wirespeed switching and automatically learns up to 1,024 MAC addresses. The switch is UL approved and requires a 24 VDC power supply. The SE20 Ethernet switch also compliments TURCK's complete line of BL20 IP20 rated products.

This is the first switch in a new family of IP20 rated switches. Although the switch has a UL rating, it is no longer rated for Class I, Division 2 locations. This switch was strictly brought in to be a price competitive solution for the IP20 switch offering.

TURCK announces the availability of new Cat 5e Ethernet cables that are Gigabit capable and incorporate flexlife cable jackets. This jacket material is resistant to abrasion, crush and chemical influences, making it particularly suitable for harsh duty environments. The Ethernet cable is available with 4 or 8 conductors (2 and 4 pair counts). The cable may be specified with straight or right-angle RJ45 or M12 connectors.

TURCK introduces its new 4-wire PROFINET cordset line, developed to provide plug-and-play connectivity for applications using PROFINET protocols. PROFINET, the fastest industrial Ethernet I/O network, is compatible with existing fieldbus systems and the only network that can accomplish a line topology - especially ideal for long conveyor systems. These cordsets connect to TURCK's BL67 Ethernet gateways for PROFINET - which can be connected to up to 32 I/O modules per gateway - to allow smooth integration into current fieldbus structures.
