TURCK DPC-System (Diagnostic-Power-Conditioner-System) is a power supply system for the installation of Foundation fieldbus H1 segments. It offers comprehensive diagnostic functions for the monitoring of FOUNDATION fieldbus segments and thus supporting Asset Management for the whole system. A DPC system consists of one or more module racks DPC-49-MB-RC each with up to eight power supply modules DPC-49-IPS and one diagnostic module DPC-49-ADU. Up to four H1 segments for each module rack can be operated and monitored redundantly in the FOUNDATION fieldbus. The diagnostic data from the H1 segments are transmitted via the HSE interface module DPC-49-HSEFD/24VDC to the higher level Asset-Management-System.

TURCK introduces JRBS junction bricks for FOUNDATION fieldbus, an innovative product family providing quick and easy connection of multiple devices to the main fieldbus trunk. JRBS junction bricks are available with 4, 6, 8, 10 or 12 ports and feature removable terminals for simple, efficient installation and wiring modification in tight spaces. These terminals are located on both sides of the brick to enable easy access for wiring from either direction-and they securely screw into place-eliminating the risk of becoming disconnected in high vibration environments. Plus, JRBS junction boxes can be DIN-mounted vertically or horizontally.

Single Segment Redundant Backplane For FOUNDATION Fieldbus H1 Segments

• TURCK Inc. has expanded its Diagnostic Power Conditioner (DPC) system with a Single Segment Redundant Backplane that can combine two isolated power supply modules into one FOUNDATION fieldbus segment. The new backplane includes an integrated diagnostic unit used to monitor the redundancy of the external bulk power supply along with the H1 power supply-aiding in the availability of the H1 segment. System status is available via a relay contact.
• The backplane's small footprint (113mm high by 42mm wide by 210mm long) is designed for DIN rail mounting, and features separate connections for grounding and shielding. The cable shield may be connected via shield clamps or screw terminals. Three-Pole Screw Terminals With Flange Connections are also available to connect the segment outputs.
