PVC (Polyvinyl Chloride) flexlife is TURCK's standard cable and is superior to other PVC
on the market. Special additives give our PVC cables excellent resistance to oils, ozone, acids, alkalis,
alcohols, greases, waxes and most solvents. TURCK PVC cable is rated for weather and atmosphere to UL 62 for UV
resistance, and for temperatures up to 105°C (+221°F). PVC is a cost effective standard duty cable well suited to
most environments, and has a flexlife rating of over 2 million cycles.
TPU flexlife (S90)
The new TURCK TPU (Thermoplastic Polyurethane) jacket material boasts many industry leading
features. A 105°C (+221°F) temperature rating is the first in the industry for a TPU cable. TURCK TPU cables
withstand UL Vertical Tray and CSA FT4 flame tests allowing many configurations to be rated as PLTC and ITC. TPU
provides superior resistance to oils and lubricants including cutting oils, transmission fluids (ATF) and
gasoline, as well as exceptional abrasion resistance comparable to thermo-set rubber cables. TPU is the standard
cable used to make retractile cordsets, and has a flexlife rating of over 2 million cycles.
TPU flexlife-20 (S90/S101)
flexlife-20, our latest innovation in high-flex cable, guarantees performance to 10 million
cycles of continuous flexing, bending and twisting motion found in C-track, robotic and other motion systems. Our
standard flexlife PVC and TPU control cables are designed to meet a minimum of 2 million flex cycles, but are
often in use 7 to 8 million flex cycles and years later. The flexlife-20 design includes finely stranded custom
alloy conductors, and proprietary blended thermoplastic insulation and cable jacket compounds. A flex facilitator
made of PTFE is wrapped around the conductors, preventing heat build-up due to friction between the cable jacket

CPE Rubber flexlife (S600)
Thermo-set CPE jacket over EPDM rubber insulation. Thermo-set rubber is impervious to flame
and temperature extremes making it the cable of choice for many welding applications. CPE rubber jacket provides
superior resistance to tears, cuts and abrasions, and has a flexlife rating of over 2 million cycles.
Irradiated PVC is steady temperature rated from -25°C to +80°C (-13°F to 176°F), and
short-term rated to +250°C (+482°F). Conductors and jacket are resistant to melting under conditions such as
weld-flash, contact with hot objects (e.g. soldering iron) or under short-circuit conditions (to VDE 0298).
Superior performance in the presence of oils and organic solvents causes no swelling, as well as outstanding
tensile strength and abrasion resistance. Unlike stranded PVC, it does not exhibit signs of aging in the presence
of hot oil. No reduction of physical properties when soaked 168 hours at +90°C (+194°F) in ASTM #2 oil (re: VDE
0472 part 802). Fine litz-wire stranded construction provides superior performance in flex applications.
TPE (Thermo-Plastic Elastomer), sometimes called TPR (Thermo-Plastic Rubber), jacket material
offers excellent resistance to weld slag buildup, second only to Thermo-set rubber. Weldlife is more flexible,
available in more configurations, is less expensive than rubber and has a flexlife rating of over 2 million

cable jacket with high tensile strength and high chemical solvent resistance. It is resistant to common solvents
