Toshiba's JK Series starter has been expanded to meet our customers' needs. The JK series is designed for use as a controller for transformers and capacitor switching, as well as an induction, wound rotor, and synchronous motor starter. This design can be configured as individual controllers/starters or in control center lineups with incoming disconnect switches or in conjunction (bussed) with our HVK switchgear.

The JK400 Series of motor controller is the result of extensive research and development. This state-of-the-art controller was designed in Houston, Texas, and is currently being manufactured under ISO 9001 standards in the same manufacturing facility as Toshiba motors and drives. The components in this new series have been arranged in the most logical manner to produce a tightly designed unit, and in the full voltage type starters, uses no internal power cables. This streamlined, space saving design provides the ultimate in maintenance ease and safety features.

These medium voltage controllers are available in across-the-line or reduced voltage models for the control of induction, wound rotor or synchronous motors, transformers, or capacitors up to 6.6kV. All controllers are designed to meet NEMA Class E2 requirements. These fixed type controllers are available in one or two high enclosures.

TURCK Starters

BL20 Motor Starters allow 3-phase motor control to be connected to the same BL20 rack as the standard I/O. BL20 motor starters can be mounted on the same rail as the BL20 gateway, or they can be mounted on another rail to ease placement within panels. The motor starters will be controlled by the gateways via the chosen fieldbus (DeviceNet, PROFIBUS-DP, or CANopen). Each gateway can support up to 3 SWIRE modules for a total of 48 non-reversing motor starters

Weidmuller Fuse

WAVEGUARD is a selective electronic fuse that eliminates negative effects on parallel current paths and cuts out only the defective circuit. A reset input enables the load circuit to be reconnected again. Faults are signalled via a visual indicator and a floating contact. WAVEGUARD fuses are designed for rated currents between 1.6 and 8 A. A version with an adjustable rated current from 0.5 to 5 A rounds off the range.
