 Weidmuller Ethernet Unmanaged Switches |
Unmanaged Switches
Weidmüller's unmanaged switches are Plug & Play devices for easy installation of Ethernet networks. They do
not need to be configured or parameterised. Not only do Weidmüller switches meet the demands placed on the Fast Ethernet with its
transmission rate of up to 100 Mbit/s, but they are also downward compatible with the older networks that have a transmission rate
of 10 Mbit/s (IEEE 802.3). The switches recognise the speed automatically. For direct connection to the network in the field,
Weidmüller offers an IP 67 switch with eight Ethernet ports for use in tough environments.

 Weidmuller Ethernet Managed Switches |
Managed Switches
To set up decentralized industrial networks, many applications need a central switch in the electrical
cabinet. This is where a managed high-performance switch from Weidmüller comes into play. We have no less than 12 different
versions of our IE-SWxx-M managed switches: with 8, 16 and 24 ports (8/16/24 x RJ45). Each of these is optionally available with
two fiber-optic ports for very long transmission sequences and/or highly electromagnetically charged environments
(2 x SC and 2 x ST). SC models are also available as a single-mode version. With enclosures measuring just 45 millimeters, up to
24 segments can be connected. All Weidmüller managed switches are protocol-transparent. Each individual port is a network
segment and a collision domain in itself. All the ports can be directly connected with one another. The integrated software
makes configuration very easy via an RS232 port with a terminal program or via a Web browser interface.

 Weidmuller Ethernet Routers |
Routers are gateways between Ethernet networks! And a secure way to keep factory networks separate.
Industrial access routers are used for simple and secure connections between office networks or the Internet and production
networks.
Routers also purposefully separate different networks so that access to the production network linked to the router is
only granted to authorized users. This means that a whole connected system can be covered by a single IP address, thus
considerably reducing the level of installation work involved. A VPN (virtual private network) connection can then be
established between two routers via the local Internet provider. Only authorized applications are admissible.

 Weidmuller IE-GPRS-I/O Alarm Module |
Notifying, informing and remote servicing - this is what the IE-GPRS-I/O alarm modem is used for.
Weidmüller's IE-GPRS-I/O alarm module monitors systems and can notify you of discrepancies automatically or upon request. The
alarm module can send an SMS to a mobile phone, transmit a fax or send an email or, if preferred, place a voice call. M2M
tariffs make this a value-for-money solution. Machinery and systems manufacturers have mobile access to the components they
need from anywhere in the world when servicing.
