FBCon DK6	FBCon DK6 The field devices with integrated fieldbus coupling are connected directly to the branch lines. The FBCon DK6 was designed for setting up fieldbus connections for individual applications - with up to 20 branch lines. Fieldbus Foundation	Fieldbus Foundation enables the operation of several PA sensors and actuators on one bus line. The devices are powered using twin cable technology, and the transmission of process data is digital. 32 devices can be operated in one segment. Repeaters can extend the maximum number to 126 stations with a maximum bus length of 10 km. For a transmission rate of 31.25 kbps, the bus length can reach up to 1900 m without repeaters, or up to 1000 m in explosion-risk areas. The bus can be wired as a line, tree or star. A segment coupler is used to integrate the components in the Fieldbus Foundation network.
FBCon PROFIBUS-DP	The length of the branch cable depends on the transmission rate and should be as short as possible. The total of all branch lengths for transmission rates up to 1.5 MBaud may not exceed 6.6 m. The trunk cable passes through EMC cable glands Into An Aluminium Enclosure where it is connected to a Tension Clamp Terminal. The branch line from the device is connected to a coded M12 socket. 24 V DC is supplied to the right vacant cable gland for the bus connection. The enclosure has a pressure compensation element to counteract the effects of climatic cycles. The enclosure is available both in aluminium and stainless steel. The guidelines issued by the PROFIBUS user organisation must be observed.
