of an ABB PLC and the process. The individual wiring between the control and the sensor/
actuator is replaced by a pre-assembled, quickly installed interface system. Specific PLC front adapters, pre-assembled
Turck Cables and passive/active components with varying functions from the
basis of this system solution.
The basic principle is the connection of Weidmuller PLC-specific front adapters to passive and active Weidmuller PLC
Interface Module input or Weidmuller PLC Interface Units output modules using pre-assembled leads. The Weidmuller PLC Interface
Module adapters are plugged directly to the I/O cards. Within the adapters, the Weidmuller PLC-specific connection level is adapted
to ribbon cable plug connectors to IEC 603-1/DIN 41651. The passive and active Weidmuller PLC Interface Module input or Weidmuller
PLC Interface Units output modules can therefore be used regardless of the corresponding controller type.
