Weidmuller Sensor Actuator Interface SAI distributors bundle the signals of
TURCK Sensors and actuators "in the field", reducing
installation and service costs by use of pre-assembled cables and off-the-shelf M12/M8/M5 circular plugs. A bus line from the SAI
distributor connects the system with the control. Depending on the design variant of the Weidmuller Sensor Actuator Interface SAI
distributor, the bus line is permanently fixed in place (SAI-F) or may be connected to screw
Entrelec Terminal Blocks or tension-clamp connections (SAI-M). The tension-clamp
connections increase servicing convenience and reduce material costs. In the event of a fault on one of the lines, just the
connection with the hood needs to be replaced not the entire distributor. Another practical detail is the large-sized labelling
fields for individual labelling. This helps both in servicing and maintenance, and makes fault detection easier. The markers can
be ordered separately and can be individually plotted using a marking system. LEDs show the status, with optical controls
minimising downtimes. M5/M8 and metal distributors supplement the programme.
Time is money. The new system is called Weidmuller FIXCON whereas in the standard M12 system, the twist sleeve
has to be screwed on and is hindered by the vibration protection, Weidmuller FIXCON works with a simple click, like the well-known
garden hosepipe connection systems. The audible lock guarantees safe, reliable connection and high imperviousness. Weidmuller
FIXCON is currently available from Weidmuller and four other international companies. FIXCON M12 connections offer sufficient space
for using Tpieces. The Weidmuller Sensor Actuator Interface SAI module is slimmer and now only 54 mm wide. The new Weidmuller SAI
FIXCON distributors can be used either with M12 plug-in connectors or with the new FIXCON plug-in connectors. The Weidmuller Sensor
Actuator Interface SAI distributors are available as fixed cable version or with M23; later extensions, for example a hood version,
are currently in progress. Weidmuller FIXCON reduces the installation time and increases installation safety by means of colour
coding and an audible click on locking.
Weidmuller also offers the corresponding cables for AS-interfaces. The black AS-interface cable for
Sola Power Supplies, and the yellow AS-interface cable for the
AS-interface bus. In the HE series Weidmuller universal connectors, the user is free to choose the kind of cable connections
system required for the application, either proven tension spring connections, screw or crimp connection. The HEE series Weidmuller
connector provides high contact density where space is at a premium. The HD series Weidmuller connectors is ideal for signal
processing. The HD insert can be assembled with turned or punched copper contacts, as well as fibre optic contacts, allowing true
connectivity choice.
