The new J1000 drives are designed to be used with asynchronous motors rated from 0.1-5.5kW. The RoHS-compliant drives offer V/f control and can handle a 120% overload for 60s (normal duty), or 150% for 60s (heavy duty). They can deliver 100% torque at 1.5Hz and 150% at 3Hz.

The drives incorporate transistors for dynamic braking, allowing them to be used for simple hoisting applications. A variable carrier frequency function reduces noise levels, while stall prevention and speed search functions prevent unnecessary tripping. The drives are available in 200/400V three-phase and 200V single-phase versions, while 100V single-phase versions are planned. The compact drives - the largest of which measures 108 x 128 x 154mm - can be mounted side-by-side.

The J7 drive is a general purpose AC drive; its PWM design provides low motor noise and high starting torque, with a current overload rating of 150% for 60 seconds. V/f control makes this Yaskawa AC microdrive suitable for most general applications. The Yaskawa J7 industrial AC drive is feature packed, low cost, and compact. The digital operator includes a 3 digit LED status display. Digital programming covers 79 parameters. The Yaskawa J7 general purpose drive has five digital inputs (3 progammable), 1 analog input, and 1 digital output (programmable). An optional RS 485 Modbus RTU serial communication port is available. Yaskawa J7 VFD drives are an ideal choice whenever low cost and small size are required.

Please select the Yaskawa GPD 305/J7 microdrive based on required input voltage and motor output current requirements. Nominal HP ratings for 1800 rpm motors are listed for reference. Output current ratings are RMS current. 3 phase input and 1 phase input ratings are listed for 230 V J7 AC drive models. For 1 phase input on 460 V models, select the Yaskawa general purpose J7 drive by ensuring that 1/2 of the Yaskawa industrial AC drive's continuous output current rating is equal to the motor's full load amp rating. Earlier versions of this product were named Yaskawa GPD 305/J7, GPD 305, or VS Mini J7.

DriveWizard is one of the outstanding options for the Yaskawa J7 drive. This software enables upload, download, and monitoring of Yaskawa AC microdrive parameters. An optional RS-485 Modbus RTU serial communication port is available with up to 32 nodes on a single network. The J7 AC drive is ideal for applications such as conveyors, grinders, centrifuges, pumps, fans and blowers used in material handling, packaging, food processing, and commercial laundry. The Yaskawa J7 micro drive is available in protected chassis models from 1/8 to 5 HP at 230 VAC and 1/2 to 5 HP at 460 VAC. (This Yaskawa J7 AC drive was previously named GPD 305/J7)
