A Motor Control System
will obviously include a motor and inverter, as well as a circuit breaker or fuses for safety. If you are connecting a motor to the
inverter on a test bench just to get started, that's all you may need for now. But a system can also have a variety of additional
components. Some can be for noise suppression, while others may enhance the inverter's braking performance.

 V7 AC Micro Inverters |
The V7 variable frequency inverter is a low cost, compact drive, operable in V/f or open loop vector mode. In
addition to good speed regulation, open loop vector control also provides higher torque at lower speeds. The Yaskawa V7 VFD drive
is ideally suited for applications such as conveyors, grinders, centrifuges, pumps, fans, blowers, machine tools, packaging, food
processing, and commercial laundry. For wet and dusty indoor environments, the VFD V74X with integral NEMA 4X/12
enclosure is recommended. For DeviceNet network applications, the Yaskawa V7N drives with embedded Device Net is recommended.

The V7 drive is a high performance AC drive for induction motors, providing low motor noise and
high starting torque. The Yaskawa V7 VFD provides two control methods; V/f and open loop vector control for precision speed
regulation applications. In addition to good speed regulation, open loop vector control Yaskawa VFD also provides higher torque
at lower speeds. The Yaskawa VFD V7 Drive is intended for constant torque applications, with current overload rating of 150% for
60 seconds.
The V7 inverter is fully featured and compact. The digital operator provides 4 digit LED status
display with a built in analog speed potentiometer, as well as digital programming of almost 200 parameters. The digital pulse
train input provides a precise frequency input, and is the perfect solution for Yaskawa VFD speed follower applications. The
seven standard multi function inputs can be programmed to allow for 17 preset speeds. The Yaskawa V7 variable frequency drive
also has an analog input, a multi function output, two multi function open collector outputs, and an analog output as
standard.

 V7 Washdown / Dust-Tight VFD |
The V7/Configured Stainless Steel package provides a V7 in a NEMA 4X stainless steel enclosure,
with space for several commonly used options, such as circuit breakers, input filters, etc. The V7CX has been designed for
flexibility in providing the features and options commonly demanded by industrial control designers. This drive is designed
for tough industrial environments. It is rugged and reliable, with an MTBF of 28 years.

A variety of enclosure options provide the right environmental protection. To provide the optimum control
method, the V7CX drives can operate in conventional V/f or open loop vector mode. Drive performance can be further
enhanced for a specific application with optional drive software. It supports several communications protocols and input/output
control cards.
One of the outstanding options for the VFD V7 drive is DriveWizard. This software enables upload,
download, and monitoring of parameters. Another software, CASE, can add functionality to the Yaskawa VFD drive by reconfiguring
Yaskawa VFD drive defaults, establishing presets for OEM equipment, and by eliminating peripheral controls and PLCs. A RS-485
Modbus RTU communication port is standard, allowing 32 nodes on a single network. Plug in interface option boards enable the
Yaskawa VFD drive to communicate with all the major networks, such as DeviceNet, Profibus-DP, and others. The option board
installs directly on the Yaskawa VFD drive control board via simple snap-in connectors.

V7N Inverter With Embedded DeviceNet |
A version of this Yaskawa VFD drive called Yaskawa VFD V7N drive is available with DeviceNet embedded in the
Yaskawa VFD drive control board, reducing cost and installation time. Another version of this drive called Yaskawa VFD V74X drive
is available with integral NEMA 4X/12 enclosure for dusty and wet environments. The Yaskawa VFD V7 drive is provided in a
NEMA 1 enclosure from 1/8 to 10 HP at 230 VAC and 1/2 to 10 HP at 460 VAC. (This Yaskawa VFD V7 drive was previously named GPD
315/V7)

 VS-Mini VFD Inverters |
The VS mini drive provides maximum performance in a microsize design. This
significant size reduction has been accomplished without sacrificing the essential programming features of our larger drives,
allowing the Yaskawa VS mini drive to be used in a wide range of applications. The VS mini Yaskawa drive is used for material
handling, packaging, mixing, pumping, commercial wash machines, recreation equipment (tread mills), overhead doors and
general industrial applications. This VFD drive is the perfect choice for the design engineer, available in standard
protected chassis and optional Din rail designs. The microsize design features application specific intelligent power module
(ASIPM) devices and circuitry, a 16 bit microprocessor, and surface mounted devices for reliability and strength. The VS mini
Yaskawa VFD drive is available in 1/8 through 1 HP models, 115 VAC single-phase, 50/60 Hz ranges.
