ABB Drives seminar featuring new ACS 550 Boise, Idaho June 5, 2003
Clearwater Tech had the rare opportunity to host a luncheon for
ABB Low Voltage AC & DC Industrial VFDs right here in Boise, that announced the product launch of their newest, most
technically advanced drive yet, the ACS550-U1-023A-4 Series. ABB brought in their own
factory (not regional) people to explain in detail where ABB Drives is headed in the future.
You wouldn't believe the features and benefits of the newest addition to the ABB Drive line-up, the
ACS550. This long awaited new drive will range in HP from 5-500HP and will cover 80% of the drive applications currently
being done using the ABB ACS400 & ACS600. The
ABB Low Voltage ACS 800 VFDs will still be ABB's premier series offering an incredible
amount of options to fit your needs. These are truly the drives of the future.
We had around 30 people attend this 2–3hr factory presentation. If you attended this seminar, I'm
sure you walked away having first hand information on the newest technology in AC Drives in the world. The factory discussed
everything on the ACS550 from the ground up, including comparisons to our other series of drives, communication protocols,
what makes this drive unique, and many other valuable items of importance.
