SEW-EURODRIVE announces the immediate release of the new RESF37 stainless steel helical gear reducer and KESA37 stainless steel helical bevel gear reducer. Efficient, long-life helical and helical bevel gearing means these units use less energy, run cooler and last longer than typical single-worm gear units. The material, design and smooth finish mean high resistance to bacteria, chemicals and processes common to the food processing industry. Traditional single-worm reducers commonly found on processing equipment are inefficient and wear over time. Helical bevel gears have an infinite life, and are 50% more efficient than single worm gears.

SEW-EURODRIVE is excited to announce the new energy-efficient DR motor series as part of its line of highly efficient drives and gearmotors. Designed to help you save money and energy, the modular DR motor offers millions of drive combinations in three efficiency levels: standard, high efficiency, and NEMA Premium. The motor is specially designed for high-cycling applications, up to thousands of cycles per hour. In addition, by installing the encoders behind the fan, we have reduced the motor length, making it cost- and space-efficient.

TURCK introduces a new AS-interface (AS-i) speed monitor that monitors safety speed and stop conditions on up to two axes. The speed monitor, manufactured by Bihl+Wiedemann, is part of the large range of AS-i safety products distributed by TURCK in the United States.

The speed monitor may be quickly programmed using a configuration push-button or by using AS-i control tools. When the speed falls below the designated threshold, the device sends a signal to AS-i. An integrated chip card records the programmed parameters so the device does not require reprogramming when accessing the machine after a controlled stop.

TURCK has recently added a CANopen version to its line of F36 absolute encoders. The Kübler by TURCK F36 encoder series is characterized by its compact size, high performance and robust design, making them well suited for drive engineering or medical technology applications.

Sendix F36 Series is the first optical multiturn encoders without gears on the market, making them completely insensitive to magnetic fields. These encoders feature a hollow shaft diameter up to 10 mm in a device of only 36 mm. Despite its compact design, it is IP67 rated and has a wide temperature range of -30 to 85°C. Using OptoASIC technology enables the F36 encoder to reach a high resolution of up to 16 bits for singleturn applications; the multiturn version has a resolution of up to 32 bits.

The Yaskawa P7 inverter is the industrial fan and pump drive. It is the companion to the Yaskawa F7 drive in fit and form. Yaskawa P7 inverter drive functionality is designed for variable torque applications like fans and centrifugal pumps. It is supplied with V/F control and normal duty overload rating of 110% for one minute. Network communications, plug-in I/O cards, and power/packaging options are available. With an optional phase-shifting input transformer, the Yaskawa P7 VFD inverter drive dual-diode bridge can be operated in 12-pulse rectification mode, reducing input current harmonic distortion. The optional Yaskawa P7 bypass package is a 3-contactor style bypass, allowing motor operation from the drive or across the line.
