Weidmüller is expanding its assortment of screwdrivers
Weidmüller is expanding its assortment of screwdrivers with an angled spring opener, hexalobular socket (Torx®) screwdriver with T-handles and bits, plus/minus screwdriver and interchangeable blades as well as a Robertson (square tipped) screwdriver. Weidmüller has enhanced its portfolio of tools to satisfy customer requirements even better. For instance, the angled spring opener is a useful tool with which to open the tension clamp of terminal blocks from Weidmüller's Z-Series, MICROSERIES and TERMSERIES. Hexalobular socket (Torx®) screwdriver with T-handles and bits are suitable for screw-type terminal blocks utilizing a Torx® screw. This makes it even easier for users to engage the deep-seated screw with the aid of a screwdriver. The market has also seen an increase in demand for plus/minus screwdrivers and interchangeable blades; for instance, screws with plus/minus heads are increasingly being used in the electronics sector, universally, for example, in relay bases requiring low torques or in surge protection modules requiring higher torques. And last but not least, the Robertson (square tipped) screwdriver fulfils requirements in NAFTA countries, in which square socket screws are often used. As VDE insulated screwdrivers the new plus/minus screwdriver with interchangeable blades and the Robertson screwdriver are predestined for work on live components up to 1000 VAC and 1500 VDC in accordance with DIN EN 60900, IEC 900.
